Hyderabad: Senior BRS leaders on Thursday launched a blistering attack on Congress MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, accusing him of using derogatory and uncivilised language against their party leaders KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao. They urged Speaker Gaddam Prasad to initiate action against Rajender Reddy for inciting violence.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, former MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar said the Congress leaders had abandoned political decorum and were speaking without regard for seniority or sincerity. He dismissed Rajender Reddy as a political middleman who had no moral authority to criticise the BRS leaders who fought during the Telangana movement, while he spent time in pubs.
Former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy questioned whether the Chief Minister should be beaten with 1.2 lakh slippers for failing to implement promises, if Rajender Reddy’s remarks were applied.
Former MLA Nannapaneni Narendra said the Congress MLA was resorting to abuse because of his failure to develop his constituency. Senior BRS leader K Vasudeva Reddy demanded an apology for criticising KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao.
