Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has gained a clear edge in the Jubilee Hills by-election, according to multiple pre-poll surveys released this week. The latest survey to predit the outcome was published by People’s Insight.
The People’s Insight survey projected a 44.03 per cent vote share for BRS, ahead of the Congress at 39.44 per cent and the BJP at 13.94 per cent. The same agency had carried out the largest opinion poll for the 2024 general elections with TV9 Bharatvarsh.
Other surveys predicted similar trends. Chanakya Strategies predicted BRS at 43 per cent, Congress at 38 per cent, and BJP at 10 per cent. KK survey showed a wider gap, giving BRS at 55.2 per cent, Congress at 37.8 per cent, and BJP at 7 per cent. PC Surveys India placed BRS at 51 per cent, Congress at 39 per cent, and BJP at 9 per cent. SAS Group estimated BRS at 46.5 per cent, Congress at 42.5 per cent, and BJP at 8.25 per cent.
The consistent lead across agencies suggests that the BRS has consolidated its position in the prestigious bypoll battle, which could serve as a political litmus test for the Revanth Reddy government and a morale booster for BRS ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
