BRS likens Congress govt anniversary celebrations to ‘carnival of scams’
Congress governmentshould be holding a "carnival of scams" instead of celebrating victories. Government's failure to fulfil election promises speaks volumes of what they had delivered to the people. The Musi River clean-up project and the Kodangal Lift project are examples of corruption and the Chief Minister and ministers are awarding lucrative contracts to their relatives and cronies, alleged KT Rama Rao
Hyderabad: Questioning the Congress government in the State on the celebration victory (Praja Vijayotsavalu) it was gearing up for, BRS Working President K T Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the leadership of the ruling party for causing irreparable damage to Telangana in less than one year.
He said the Congress government, instead of celebrating victories, should be holding a “carnival of scams”. Their failure to fulfil election promises spoke volumes of what they had delivered to the people. He highlighted the Musi River clean-up project and the Kodangal Lift project as examples of corruption, accusing the Chief Minister and ministers of awarding lucrative contracts to their relatives and cronies.
He criticized the Congress government for being a symbol of administrative failures and crisis in all sectors. Rama Rao questioned how the government could celebrate when they had not implemented a single promise out of the six guarantees and 420 promises made during the elections. He accused the government of wasting public money on celebrations while poor farmers suffered due to lack of loan waivers and investment support.
Rama Rao condemned the government for neglecting the victims of the Hyderabad and Musi River crises, and for failing to provide safety for women and pensions for the elderly. He accused the Congress government of deceitfully taking credit for jobs filled by the BRS and of making false claims about loan waivers and free electricity schemes.
Taking to social media platform X, he stated that this Congress government had garnered the highest public opposition in the shortest time in the history of independent India. Rama Rao accused the Chief Minister of lacking the much desired skills of governance and the government of having no love for Telangana. He criticized the Congress government for demolishing the homes of the poor and for not understanding the meaning of victory celebrations.
Rama Rao concluded by asserting that the BRS would return to power and that the people of Telangana would not be deceived by the Congress government’s false promises and failures.
