Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao has hit out at the Congress government, terming the fresh ACB notice to BRS working president KT Rama Rao in the Formula-E case a clear act of political vendetta.

He accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of misusing investigative agencies against opposition leaders to divert public attention from his government’s failures.

“The Congress regime is resorting to diversionary tactics to silence those questioning the unfulfilled six guarantees and over 420 electoral promises. This is nothing but a desperate move to malign the BRS and demoralise the party leadership,” he said.

Harish Rao asserted that the Formula-E car race enhanced Telangana’s global image as an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing hub and attracted key investments, including from the Amara Raja Group. He noted that the event brought prestige and economic activity to the State.

“Are these notices being issued because Rama Rao elevated Telangana’s standing on the world stage?” he asked, drawing a contrast with past failed attempts by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and others to host similar events.

He also criticised the Congress for hosting beauty pageants, claiming they had no tangible gain and instead harmed the reputation of the State and the nation. He vowed that the BRS would continue to expose the Congress government’s failures, undeterred by what he called its vendetta politics.
