BRS questions BJP-Congress secret pact in Telangana
Highlighting the BJP's inconsistent stance on the Kaleshwaram project, Vivekananda questioned why BJP MLAs in Telangana were opposing a project that had received full approval from the BJP-led Central government.
Hyderabad: BRS whip KP Vivekananda pointed out a covert understanding between BJP and Congress to work together to attack the BRS. He stated that the BJP MLAs were reading out a script supplied by the Congress and toeing their line to target the BRS in the Assembly.
“In Delhi, they wrestle like opponents, but in Telangana, they strike deals and work together,” he said.
Citing BJP’s contradictory stance on the Kaleshwaram project, Vivekananda questioned why BJP MLAs in Telangana were opposing a project for which the BJP-led Central government had granted all approvals.
“If they are so aligned with Congress, they might as well merge with them,” he suggested.
Another MLA Dr K Sanjay stated that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about removing the Congress to save India, BJP leaders in Telangana were protecting it. He charged BJP MLAs and BJP Union Ministers from Telangana with working in collusion with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to weaken the BRS.
