BRS sets up help desks to assist graduate voter enrolment

The BRS is setting up help desks across wards and constituencies to assist graduates with voter registration in two Telangana Legislative Council constituencies. MLC Dasoju Sravan urged graduates to enrol, pointing out that only seven days remained.

Hyderabad: To assist with graduate voter enrolment, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is setting up help desks in various wards and constituencies, equipped with laptops and volunteers to help graduates scan documents and complete the registration process. Through these help desks, the BRS will facilitate the registration of graduate voters in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda and Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar constituencies.

After unveiling models of graduate voter enrolment kiosks at Telangana Bhavan along with BRS leaders from the Khairatabad constituency on Friday, BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan urged graduates to enrol as voters. He pointed out that only seven days were left for registration and that enrolment was progressing slowly in key constituencies.

Graduates can also register through the Chief Electoral Officer’s website, www.ceotelangana.nic.in, using their mobile phones. They need to upload their Aadhaar cards and degree certificates, following which the applications will be verified by Booth Level Officers (BLOs), he explained.

Sravan criticised the Congress government in Telangana and the BJP-led government at the Centre, accusing them of failing the public, farmers and youth. He called upon graduates to exercise their franchise and use the opportunity to hold the two parties accountable. He said greater participation by graduates in the electoral process was important for bringing about political change and safeguarding democratic values.
