Hyderabad: Former Ministers G Jagadish Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday said all arrangements have been completed for the BRS silver jubilee public meeting at Elkathurthy on April 27, describing it as a historic event on the scale of the Sammakka Saralamma Jatara.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Jagadish Reddy said people are voluntarily preparing to attend the meeting in large numbers, treating it as a public uprising against the Congress.
“It is no longer just a party meeting. It has become the people’s meeting,” he said, adding that over 1,200 acres have been earmarked for parking and party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao himself is reviewing the arrangements daily.
He said the Congress had deceived every section of society and that citizens across Telangana were eager to show their support for the BRS and its leadership.
Speaking separately, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav said the BRS, born out of the Telangana statehood movement, had delivered unmatched welfare schemes under Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership.
He said around 50,000 people will participate in the silver jubilee meeting from Greater Hyderabad alone. He asserted that the meeting will leave a lasting political impact in the State.
