Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, S Madhusudhana Chary, launched a scathing attack on newly appointed BJP State president N Ramchander Rao, terming his remarks that people had forgotten the BRS as ignorant and detached from ground reality.

“Is Ramchander Rao even living in Telangana? The people of this State know the BRS, trust the BRS, and are fully aware of its capabilities,” he said at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan.

Madhusudhana Chary asserted that the BJP had contributed nothing to Telangana, despite the State electing eight MPs, while Andhra Pradesh, with just three MPs, had received more central funds.

He described Ramchander Rao as a “jackpot president” who lacked acceptance within his own party, citing the resignation of MLA T Raja Singh following his appointment. He said the BJP was delusional if it believed it could come to power in Telangana, adding that it was only competing with the AIMIM for the third spot.

Madhusudhana Chary also alleged a covert understanding between the BJP and Congress, stating that the two parties were working in tandem behind closed doors while putting on a show of rivalry in public. He pointed out that although Union Home Minister Amit Shah had publicly accused the Congress government of corruption, no investigation had been ordered to date.
