Rajanna-Sircilla: BRS activists on Tuesday staged a rasta roko at Manair bridge in Thangallapalli mandal, protesting against what they termed the Congress government’s conspiracy in the name of the PC Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project.
They described the report as full of mistakes and accused the State government of presenting an incomplete version in the Assembly. The protesters alleged that PC Ghose had taken a partisan stand. They also criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for announcing a CBI probe into the project without first allowing a comprehensive debate on the report. They charged that both Congress and BJP were systematically targeting the BRS.
Vehicular traffic came to a halt as BRS activists blocked the road. Police rushed to the spot and persuaded the protesters to call off their agitation.
