Ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s Kothagudem visit, police detained several opposition activists and leaders. BRS condemned the arrests, citing government inaction on urea supply and alleging misuse of Kaleshwaram project reports to target political rivals.
BRS activists staged a rasta roko at Manair bridge in Rajanna-Sircilla, protesting the PC Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project. They accused the Congress and BJP of targeting the party and opposed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s call for a CBI probe
The Telangana government tabled the PC Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project in the Assembly on Sunday, providing only digital copies to MLAs. BRS lawmakers objected, citing denial of hard copies as their party chief KCR did not attend as Leader of the Opposition.
Setting specific dates for their appearance, the Commission wanted the former Chief Minister to appear on June 5, while Harish Rao and Rajender were summoned on June 6 and June 9 respectively.
