BRS stages State-wide protests, performs ‘palabhishekam’ to Telangana Talli
The BRS leaders also staged demonstrations, demanding the Congress government to replace Rajiv Gandhi's statue with the one of Telangana Talli as originally planned.

Hyderabad: The BRS cadre performed ‘palabhishekam’ to the statues and portraits of Telangana Talli in the headquarters of all district, mandals and constituencies on Tuesday, protesting against the Congress government’s installation of a statue of Rajiv Gandhi in front of the Secretariat.
They also staged demonstrations, demanding the Congress government to replace Rajiv Gandhi’s statue with the one of Telangana Talli as originally planned.
At Telangana Bhavan, apart from BRS working president KT Rama Rao, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council S Madhusudan Chari, former Ministers V Srinivas Goud, G Jagadish Reddy, Ch Malla Reddy and Gangula Kamalakar, MLAs Kaleru Venkatesh, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, and former MP Malothu Kavitha paid floral tributes to Telangana Talli.
Former Ministers T Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, S Niranjan Reddy, and other senior leaders also performed the ‘palabhishekam’ to the statue of Telangana Talli and joined protests in their respective constituencies. Several Telangana activists and BRS supporters also joined the protests staged by the BRS cadre across the State and strongly opposed the Congress government’s decision. They questioned why Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders did not install the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at the TPCC headquarters in Gandhi Bhavan till date, if they respected him.
