BRS to hold protest on June 30 over Sigachi blast victims’ compensation
The BRS has continued to raise the issue of Sigachi blast victims, demanding compensation and action against those responsible. Former Minister Harish Rao and party leaders have supported victims' families and are planning a protest on June 30.

Sangareddy: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) stood by the victims of Sigachi blast by constantly raising the Sigachi management failure in releasing the compensation and demanding action against the official and management responsible for the blast.
Former Minister T Harish Rao had visited the blast just hours after the blast and stood by the victims. He had demanded the government and management to declare compensation, and extend all support to the injured. The BRS Party leaders led by V Adharsh Reddy, and G Srikanth Goud took out a candle light rally one month after the blast on July 30, seeking justice for the victims.
Adharsh, Srikanth and other BRS leaders stayed in constant touch with victims’ kin. They guided them in every office they walked in during the last one year. Harish Rao visited Sangareddy collectorate along with kin of the victims in July, 2025, seeking the immediate release of the promised compensation and demanding action against the industry.
Rao also made multiple statements on the issue throughout the year asking the government to fasttrack the release of compensation. The BRS legislators also raised the issue in the State assembly multiple times exposing Sigachi and government failure. Harish Rao and other BRS leaders will hold a massive protest on June 30 in Pashamylaram industrial area, to expose the government failure in providing compensation and justice to the victims. EOM
