RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday said the party would take up at least one public issue every month and wage an agitation to mount pressure on the State government for a solution.

Addressing party workers in Sircilla on Saturday, Rama Rao said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was trying to threaten BRS workers with police cases. He had also tried to register five or six cases against him, he said.

“If the CM talks about cases, we will talk about farmers, the public and the 420 promises made by the Congress party before the elections. We will also question the government about the Rs.4,000 pension to aged people, the Rs 2,500 monthly allowance for women, scooters for women, pending fee reimbursements and the other promises,” he said, adding that the government would be given a hard time over its failures.

He also said a petition would be filed in the High Court against those trying to malign the BRS by giving leaks to newspapers to write articles against the party. If necessary, the fight would be taken to the Supreme Court as well, he said, adding that despite all the setbacks, the BRS had succeeded in cornering the State government and giving Ministers sleepless nights over the failures of the Congress government.
