Hyderabad: Senior BRS women leaders came out strongly against the Congress government on Monday, accusing it of misusing investigation agencies and indulging in political vendetta against BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, working president KT Rama Rao, and former Minister T Harish Rao.
Speaking at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, former Ministers P Sabitha Indra Reddy and V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy criticised the government’s inquiry into the Formula-E race and the Kaleswaram project, calling it a deliberate smear campaign. “Instead of delivering on promises like Rs 2,500 support for women and pensions, the Congress is fixated on targeting BRS leaders to divert public attention,” Sabitha Indra Reddy said.
MLA Kova Lakshmi condemned Minister Seethakka’s remarks on Rama Rao, calling them irresponsible and politically motivated. Former MLA Padma Devender Reddy accused the government of indulging in diversionary politics while neglecting governance and taking on massive loans.
They also demanded action against those responsible for alleged misconduct during beauty pageants and warned that the people of Telangana would see through the false propaganda and bring BRS back to power.
