Jagtial: Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, who is facing allegations of political defection, found himself in an unusual situation on Wednesday when a BRS activist arrived at his meeting venue intending to place a party scarf on his shoulder.
BRS worker Narapaka Ravinder reached Thalladarmaram in Bheerpur mandal ahead of the legislator’s visit after learning that Sanjay Kumar would be attending a programme there. Ravinder waited at the venue with a BRS scarf, reportedly planning to test the MLA’s political allegiance.
Police, noticing his presence and apprehending possible disruption, shifted him to the local police station.
Ravinder later questioned why there should be any objection to placing a BRS scarf on Sanjay Kumar if the MLA had not left the party to join the Congress.
