Hyderabad: Opposing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to Osmania University on Thursday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidhyarthi (BRSV) on Tuesday decided to obstruct his visit over unfulfilled promises to unemployed youth and students.

BRSV general secretary Jangaiah questioned the Chief Minister’s moral right to visit the campus given the government’s failure to fulfill its assurances made to unemployed youth and public universities. He demanded immediate release of two lakh job notifications that were assured by the Congress party within one year of coming to power.

The BRSV also demanded recruitment notifications for teaching and non-teaching vacancies in the State universities. The student body called for the government to take special initiatives to protect the Osmania University lands that have been encroached upon.
