Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday came down heavily on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress government over their repeated criticism of the Kaleshwaram project.
Congress leaders, who could neither dig the SLBC tunnel, construct the Sunkishala project retaining wall nor even complete a check dam, had no right to criticise the BRS government on the Kaleshwaram project, he said.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rama Rao said it was shameful that those who could not even construct a check dam properly were indulging in mudslinging on a world-class project like Kaleshwaram. He pointed to the check dam built on Gudibanda Pedda Vagu in Addakula mandal of Mahabubnagar district, which collapsed within two months of construction by a Congress contractor.
The BRS working president demanded that the government explain why the structure had failed, causing extensive damage to agricultural fields, pipelines and transformers.
“The Chief Minister must answer and take action against those responsible, while also compensating the affected farmers,” he said.
