Sangareddy: A thief, who was released from jail on December 29, was arrested in less than a week just half a kilometer away from the jail when he stole a couple of laptops and a mobile phone from a shop close to RTA office at Kandi in Sangareddy district on Tuesday.
According to Sangareddy rural Police, the accused MD Rafeeq (28), a resident of Dubbak in Siddipet district, was sent to District Jail Sangareddy as he was involved in 14 burglary cases. Rafeeq was released from jail authorities on December 29, but he had stolen the laptops at a Document Writer shop, which is located just half a kilometer away from the jail, on Monday. After going through the CC Cameras, the Sangareddy Rural Police have nabbed him on Tuesday, a day after the theft. The Police have recovered two laptops and a mobile phone from him. He was sent to remand again.
