Burglars break into house in Khammam; flee with Rs 1.09 lakh
According to the police, the theft occurred when Paga Venkateswara Rao, a resident of the colony, and his family members attended the ongoing relay hunger strike on Saturday, demanding the removal of the Singareni silo bunker.
Khammam: Thieves broke into a house in Ambedkar Nagar Colony of Kishtaram gram panchayat in Sathupalli mandal.
According to police, the theft took place when a resident of the colony, Paga Venkateswara Rao along with family members, participated in the ongoing relay hunger strike on Saturday to remove the Singareni silo bunker. But the theft was noticed the next day when the family members found the almirah in the house was broken.
An amount of Rs. 1.09 lakh kept in an almirah in the house was found to be stolen. Based on the complaint of the family members, Sathupalli police inspected the house and registered a case.
