Hyderabad: Burglars struck at a house at Nanajipur village in Shamshabad on the city outskirts and decamped with cash and gadgets worth Rs 1 lakh, police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the house owner D.Srinivas, locked the house and went to his relative’s house to attend a function along with family near Karwan on Sunday. According to the police, it suspected that the burglars broke into the house by damaging the main door lock post-midnight on Monday. They opened the almirah and flicked cash and gadgets before fleeing.
The incident came to light when the residents returned and found the main door lock open and alerted the police. The exact worth of the stolen material is yet to be ascertained. The Shamshabad Rural police have booked a case and are investigating. They suspect it to be the work of local gangs.
