Adilabad: Unknown persons made a vain bid to loot goods by breaking open locks of multiple apparel stores in the town on Saturday night.

Police said that unidentified persons tried to burgle goods from three shops by breaking shutters at 1 am. However, no property was stolen as the burglars could not gain access to the cash counters of the shops. Some locals alerted the police after hearing some noise. The burglars fled away.
