Hyderabad: The half burnt body of an unidentified man was found in an open area of RK Township at Bowrampet in Medchal on the city outskirts here on Wednesday.
The local villagers who noticed the burnt body alerted the village authorities and the police. On receiving information, the Medchal police reached the spot and examined it.
The person was in thirties and is suspected to have been murdered elsewhere. His body was dumped here and set ablaze to avoid being identified, police suspect. Officials said clues have been collected from the spot and the surveillance camera footage is being examined.
The Medchal police booked a case and shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy.
