Car falls into tank in Rangareddy, alert villagers pull out driver

Hyderabad: Alert villagers saved the life of a driver after his car swerved off the road and fell into a tank in Keshampet village of Rangareddy district, according to delayed reports reaching here.
The car driven by one Malleshwar Rao, a resident of Ahazdnagar, hit a roadside pole and then fell into the tank, even as horrified passersby watched. As the car was getting submerged, enterprising passers-by jumped into the water and pulled out Malleshwar Rao.
Overspeeding was believed to be the cause of the accident. It would surely have ended on a tragic note had it not been for the alert passers-by who pulled out Rao from the water.
The incident reportedly happened on Sunday but came to light only on Wednesday.
