Adilabad: Care India, an international voluntary organisation, distributed relief kits consisting of dry ration to 123 families, affected by Covid-19 and belonging to the district, here on Monday. Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy was the chief guest of the programme. Indrakaran Reddy appreciated Care India for coming to the rescue of the families suffered by the pandemic. He advised other voluntary organisations to draw inspiration from it and to serve the needy. He suggested the non-for profit organisation identify more families affected by the Covid and the pandemic and to extend support.
State Consultant V Sudarshan and district coordinator T Sattaiah said that Care India was conducting a slew of social service activities in the district for the past three months. They cited provision of employment by the organization to four women who lost their husbands to the Covid-19. They disclosed that it was planning to extend financial aid to 198 students who were affected by the pandemic.
