Hyderabad: A case was booked against BJP Corporator from Malkajgiri, Srivani Kumar, at the Neredmet police station on charges of sharing official records with regard to a case registered at the Malkajgiri police station in a WhatsApp group and making adverse comments.

A person, Maniratnam, approached the Neredmet police and lodged a complaint stating that the Corporator had shared details about a case in local WhatsApp group and made adverse comments against the police.

The Corporator last year had made a complaint against Malkajgiri legislator M Hanumantha Rao and his associates following which the police booked a case and submitted an investigation report in the court. The Corporator however, allegedly got a copy of the report and circulated it in public domain.

“A case is going on in the court and the matter is subjudice. However, the Corporator shared the details in the public domain and wrote some comments. Based on a complaint, a case has been booked,” the Neredmet police said, adding that investigation was on.
