Case filed against Ashu Reddy in Rs 9 crore cheating complaint

A case has been registered against actor Ashu Reddy in Hyderabad over allegations of cheating a software engineer of over Rs 9 crore. The complainant claimed financial transfers and assets were taken under the pretext of marriage

Hyderabad: A case has been registered against actor and influencer Ashwini Reddy alias Ashu Reddy for allegedly cheating a man of Rs 9 crore.

The victim, Y V Dharmendra, a software engineer, had made a complaint at the Hyderabad Central Crime Station against Ashu Reddy, alleging that both of them were in a relationship and planned to marry.

Dharmendra, in his complaint, alleged that he transferred significant amounts of money, gold and other assets, which she reportedly registered in her name. He also stated that despite marriage discussions and certain rituals, the wedding never took place. Dharmendra accused the actor and her family of financial cheating amounting to over Rs 9.35 crore.

The police are investigating.
