Hyderabad: A case is registered against Hyderabad Mayor, Gadwal Vijaylaxmi, for allegedly organising and using DJ at a Bathukamma event last week.

According to the police, at an event in NBT Nagar of Banjara Hills Road No. 12, the organisers were using DJ system violating the ban imposed on it during religious procession and festivals.

A police team arrived at the venue around 11.30 pm on Thursday and asked the organisers to close down the DJ system. However, they did not relent.

“A case is registered for violating the noise levels and action will be initiated as per law,” said an official of Banjara Hills police station. The police are investigating.
