Hyderabad: A candidate from Telangana and eight others from different States have secured 100 percentiles in the results of Common Admission Test (CAT)-2021 entrance test, for admissions into various IIMs, which were released on Monday. As per the press release issued by the IIM-Ahmedabad, which conducted the CAT -2021, all candidates who secured 100 percentiles were males. Similarly, 19 candidates from different States scored 99.99 percentiles.
Likewise, 19 candidates from various States including one from Telangana and a female got 99.98 percentiles. Of the nine candidates who secured 100 percentiles, seven were from engineering and two were from non-engineering disciplines. Around 1.92 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of 2.30 lakh registered eligible candidates. Of the 1.92 lakh candidates, 35 per cent were females, 65 per cent were males and two candidates represent transgender, IIM-Ahmedabad said, adding that 88 non-IIM institutions will also use CAT-2021 scores this year for admissions into their management programmes.
