CAT directs Telangana IAS officers to report at Andhra Pradesh

The Central Administrative Tribunal declined the pleas and directed the 11 IAS and three IPS officers to report to work at Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has directed the Telangana IAS officers who were allocated to Andhra Pradesh, to report for duty at the neighbouring State.

It also declined the IAS officers’ appeal to issue interim orders cancelling the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) orders to report for duty at Andhra Pradesh by Wednesday.


The DoPT had issued orders directing 11 IAS and three IPS officers to report to work at Andhra Pradesh. Accordingly, four IAS officers, including Vakati Karuna, A Vani Prasad, Ronald Rose and Amrapali Kata, approached the CAT appealing to permit them to continue working in Telangana.

An IAS officer from Andhra Pradesh G Srijana also approached the CAT to permit her remain in the State. The CAT, which heard the appeals of the IAS officers, declined their pleas and directed them to report at Andhra Pradesh.
