The Telangana High Court has stayed the Hyderabad Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal’s order that quashed the appointment of Dr Jaiteerth R. Joshi as Director General of BrahMos Aerospace. The High Court has now suspended CAT’s directions pending further hearing.
The Telangana High Court stayed a Central Administrative Tribunal order directing the allocation of senior IAS officer D. Ronald Rose to the Telangana cadre. The Union Government challenged the Tribunal’s jurisdiction, citing that cadre allocation rests solely with the Department of Personnel and Training.
The court emphasised the need for the officers to adhere to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) orders issued on October 9, which directed them to report to Andhra Pradesh by October 16.
An IAS officer from Andhra Pradesh G Srijana also approached the CAT to permit her remain in the State. The CAT is expected to hear their petitions on Tuesday
