The unexpected collapse caused commotion inside the mall, prompting shoppers to rush out of the premises.
Security personnel immediately shifted the injured persons to nearby hospitals for treatment.
As it was a Sunday, the mall was crowded when the ceiling boards fell.
Disaster Response Force (DRF) personnel later reached the spot and cleared the debris. Authorities are ascertaining the cause of the collapse.
