Hyderabad: Hyderabad is likely to be spared from the impact of the changing weather conditions that have resulted in heavy rains lashing several parts of Tamil Nadu. In fact, Chennai is presently witnessing the heaviest rainfall since 2015.
While the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for Tamil Nadu, the weather department forecast does not look at Telangana suffering any impact of the heavy rains down south.
“Tamil Nadu rains will not affect the weather of Telangana much. While it is likely that a few parts might receive very light drizzles, Hyderabad will mostly see dry weather for the next three days. We are expecting the maximum temperature in the city to range between 30 and 32 degree Celsius,” says an official from IMD-Hyderabad.
However, the officials have issued a Yellow alert for a few districts of Telangana for November 11. On Thursday, a few districts including Yadadri Bhongir, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, Wanaparthy, Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet and Rangareddy are likely to receive light to moderate showers.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad has been witnessing a dip in the night temperatures for the last few days.
On Saturday, the minimum temperature of 16.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Rajendranagar and as per forecast by the IMD, the minimum temperature will range from 18 to 20 degree Celsius for the next few weeks. It is expected that winter will set in the city late in November.
