Hyderabad: The much-awaited sequel to Chhorii is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Chhorii 2 brings back Nushrratt Bharuccha as Sakshi and continues her battle with dark forces, but this time with her daughter is in danger. The film mixes horror with a social message, though it doesn’t quite match the impact of the first part.

The story begins with Sakshi claiming to have killed her husband but being let go due to lack of proof. She starts a new life with her daughter Ishani, who has a rare condition. When villagers kidnap Ishani, Sakshi must return to the haunted past and fight to save her child. Soha Ali Khan plays Desi Ma, while Gashmeer Mahajani supports as Samar, a police officer and Sakshi’s friend.

The film starts strong, with eerie scenes and a gripping mood. It revisits key parts from the first film and works even for those who missed the prequel. The second half dives deeper into horror and suspense, with a strong message on child marriage. Nushrratt delivers a solid performance, especially in the final scenes. Soha Ali Khan and child actor Hardika Sharma are also impressive.

However, the film loses pace in the second half. Some scenes feel repetitive, especially those set in underground areas.

Technically, Chhorii 2 looks polished. The visuals and music build a spooky mood. Director Vishal Furia handles the horror well in the first half, though the story slows down before the climax.

In summary, Chhorii 2 may not match the thrill of the first film, but it still offers a decent watch for horror fans. Those watching with low expectations may enjoy the spooky ride and the emotional journey of a mother fighting against evil.
