Chief of Defence Staff to review Combined Graduation Parade at Air Force Academy

Hyderabad: General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), will be the Reviewing Officer for the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of 216 Course to be held on December 13 at Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal.
During the ceremony, the Reviewing Officer would confer the ‘President’s Commission’ on the graduating trainees, and the ceremony includes the presentation of ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevets’ to the flight cadets of the IAF, officers of the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and trainees from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The flight cadet from the Flying branch standing first in the order of merit will be awarded the coveted ‘President’s Plaque’ as well as the ‘Nawanagar Sword of Honour’ and command the parade.
A display by the Akash Ganga team and Air Warrior Drill Team (AWDT), fly-pasts by the Pilatus PC-7, Hawk, Kiran, and Chetak aircraft, and aerial displays by the Sarang helicopter display team and the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) will be attractions.
