Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy who was critically injured in an electric shock, allegedly after touching an electric water heater which was turned on in his house at Jalpally in Balapur, died while under treatment late on Friday.
The victim, Mohd.Sufiyan, was staying with his parents Mohd.Sirajuddin, a petty vendor, and Unnisa Begum at Errakunta in Jalpally.

According to the police, on Friday evening, Sufiyan while playing in front of the house, went into the bathroom in the premises and touched the electric water heater, which was turned on to heat a bucket of water.
Police said Sufiyan is suspected to have taken out the water heater from the bucket and touched the immersion rod resulting in an electric shock.
“He suffered a severe electric shock and collapsed on the spot. His family members who heard him shouting from the bathroom rushed to his rescue and immediately shifted him to the hospital, where he died later,” said an official.
The Balapur police are investigating. The body was handed over to the family members after autopsy at the Osmania General Hospital morgue on Saturday.
