Delhi Public School, Nadergul organised a virtual Diwali for its pre-primary children. At the event, teachers taught pre-nursery kids to decorate diyas. They painted diyas all by themselves. Nursery children were taught to make flower rangolis which they enjoyed.
Prep children enjoyed making their lanterns and also used LED diyas put in the lanterns; they also learnt to make a rangoli stencil. Teachers explained the kids the importance of having a pollution-free Diwali and were taught to enjoy Diwali, without bursting crackers. Excited kids said Diwali is also a festival where they get to eat lots of sweets and get to meet their near and dear ones.
The sweet smell of flowers,
the lighted candles and diyas.
The sparkling beautiful lights,
Red, yellow, green and white.
Lots of sweet to eat,
I love Diwali indeed!
