Hyderabad:Chilkur Balaji Temple head priest Chilkur Rangarajan urged the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) to stall cow-based products used for making Srivari prasadams until the raw materials were discarded.
Terming the news of use of foreign substances like vegetable oil and animal fat for making Tirupati laddus as painful for the devotees, Rangarajan urged the Andhra Pradesh government to dig deep into the issue and identify the culprits.
Rangarajan also urged the AP government to initiate further steps to ensure there was no compromise on the ghee quality used for making laddus and protect the sanctity and divinity of Tirumala Divyakshetram and laddu prasadam. He wanted the TTD to form a committee of experts including senior potu workers who had maintained the quality till date.
The Chilkur Balaji Temple head priest extended support for the constitution of a ‘Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board’ proposed by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
