Hyderabad: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukan’ slogan came under strain after Chinna Srisailam Yadav, father of Jubilee Hills Congress MLA V Naveen Yadav, threatened to ‘strip’ Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and ‘skin him alive’.
He also warned that the BRS Bhavan, the party headquarters, would be demolished.
Srisailam Yadav, a notorious rowdy sheeter, was bound over during the Jubilee Hills by-election on November 11, a move that did not stop his family from openly issuing threats to BRS leaders and workers ever since the election notification was released.
Following the by-election victory, supporters of Naveen Yadav took out a massive rally in the constituency and made threatening gestures aimed at BRS leaders.
In an interview, the MLA’s father again threatened the Huzurabad MLA with dire consequences, marking the second such interview in which he targeted BRS leaders. The video has gone viral on social media, drawing objections from several quarters over his repeated warnings and contentious statements.
In the video, Srisailam Yadav warned that Kaushik Reddy would be assaulted by men accompanying him. “With one signal, people moving with Kaushik Reddy will thrash him. He has no clue and should bear this in mind,” he said.
He also threatened to demolish the BRS Bhavan, alleging that the building was illegal. “If a bulldozer is not sent to the BRS Bhavan, I will change my name,” he declared.
