Hyderabad: Popular choreographer Jani Master, who was interrogated by the police in connection with the sexual assault case of a female assistant choreographer consecutively on the third day on Friday, told the police he was being falsely implicated in the case.
He alleged that the victim had harassed him and lodged a false case instead for not accepting her love proposal. Jani, who was questioned by the Narsingi police in the presence of his lawyer, is learned to have told the police that the victim came to him during a Telugu reality show wanting to work with him.
He told the police he just gave her an opportunity as an assistant choreographer in his team purely based on her talent. However, she started harassing him pressuring to love and marry her. Though he warned her many times, she continued her behaviour.
It was then he had brought the matter to the attention of a popular film director, who tried to counsel the girl. However, she continued to harass Jani, he told the investigation officials.
He further told the police that there was a larger conspiracy against him planned and executed by people who envied him professionally and he was being falsely implicated in the case.
Meanwhile, the four-day police custody allowed by the Special POCSO Court will end on Saturday. On the other hand, the hearing on Jani Master’s bail petition was postponed to Monday.
The Narsingi police arrested Jani Master on September in the sexual harassment and POCSO case on a woman assistant choreographer.
