CISF seizes Rs 9.62 lakh foreign currency at Hyderabad airport
A passenger at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was caught by CISF officials while attempting to smuggle foreign currency worth Rs 9.62 lakh to Dubai. The CISF team, acting on suspicion, examined his baggage and found US Dollars, UAE Dirhams, and Saudi Riyals.

Hyderabad: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), on Wednesday, caught a passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Airport who was attempting to smuggle foreign currency to Dubai from Hyderabad and seized foreign currency valued at Rs.9.62 lakh.
According to the CISF, the passenger was behaving suspiciously and the CIW team of the CISF checked his baggage. On detailed examination of the baggage, US Dollars, UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal were found in the bag.
The passenger was handed over to the Customs authorities for further action.
