Hyderabad: For the 14-year-old Balabhadrapatruni Yashwanth from the City, a martial arts exponent, it was a dream come true when his two individual feats involving speed‑based striking techniques.
earned him a unique world record.
In March 2026, Yashwanth recorded 161 full‑extension punches in 30 seconds while wearing boxing gloves and 107 full‑extension punches in 20 seconds while wearing karate gloves.
Both feats were verified under the supervision of instructor Shaswat Kumar.
Yashwanth, a 10th standard student of Pallavi School and mentored by Shaswat Kumar, performed the feat in March this year and he is affiliated with the Senkoukai Karate organization.
The young talent’s rare performance has been recognised by the Asian Book of World Records for performances involving speed‑based striking techniques.
In May 2026, he received an additional recognition from the Asian Book of World Records for completing 108 single‑hand full‑extension wall punches within 30 seconds, again verified under the supervision of Shaswat Kumar.
