Hyderabad: The Hyderabad She teams caught 1612, including 68 minors, for allegedly harassing women during the Ganesh festival in the city. Cases were booked against some of them, while a majority were left after a stern warning.
According to the DCP (Women Safety Wing), the operation involved strategic deployment of She teams in mufti, equipped with hidden cameras to monitor the areas.

Bike thieves held
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police arrested two persons, including a juvenile, for allegedly stealing bikes and scooters in the city. Five vehicles were recovered from them.
Those apprehended are Sankuru Vijaybhaskar Reddy (23), a native of Andhra Pradesh and a resident of Tolichowki, and a juvenile.
According to the police, the duo moved around in local areas and identified vehicles parked in isolated places. When they got the opportunity, they would steal the bikes and escape.
On a complaint of theft of a bike from Samatha colony, the Tolichowki police registered a case on Monday and tracked down the duo. On interrogation, they admitted to having stolen five vehicles in the city. The police recovered the property valued at Rs. 4.50 lakh.
