Medak: Eight civil servants including four women officers will spend a week in two villages to study the village life of Telangana State. The officers will study socio-economic, geographical, environmental, employment and many other aspects of village society. They will also study the impact of the Central and State governments welfare schemes and development programmes.
The village stay is part of their three and half month special foundation course of Human Resources Development. Four of the eight officers – Susthmitha Selvaraj (ICLS), Prasad Radhakrishna, Aniki Kumar Singh (IFS), and Diksha Langthasa (ICAS) will stay in Ramanthapur village of Veldurthi Mandal till Saturday.
The remaining four officers Thushar Dudi (IPS), Mali Ramaraja Bharat (IP&TAFS), Bhukya Sneha Priya (IPS) and Rinin Choudary (IIS) will stay in Chandaipet village of Chegunta Mandal.
To help and guide the officers during their stay, District Collector S Harish has appointed DRDO Project Officer Srinivas and District Panchyat Officers as nodal officers of Ramanthapur and Chandaipet villages respectively. The eight officers met the Collector at his chamber on Monday. They had a detailed discussion on Medak district.
During their stay, they will interact with all sections of people such as fishermen, women’s organisations, shepherds, among others, besides making multiple field visits.
