Jaipur: CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka on Saturday said the organisation would continue visiting schools across India to highlight their poor condition and seek accountability from all government, asserting that its ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign was not driven by electoral or political considerations.

Speaking to IANS, Ranka said, “We will not say anything; we will only conduct school visits. You can do whatever you want. We are not afraid of your nonsense. We will get our schools repaired; you can do whatever you want. Look, we are seeking accountability from the government.”

Questioning the authorities over the condition of government schools, he said the focus should not be on what the CJP would do within 48 hours, but on when the government would address the infrastructure crisis.

“The question should not be what CJP will do in 48 hours; the question should be when the government will repair these schools. When will the 600 schools in Rajasthan that are functioning without buildings be repaired? When will the 85,000 classrooms that are in poor condition be repaired? You should ask these questions to the Rajasthan government,” Ranka told IANS.

Reacting to an alleged assault in a Rajasthan village, Ranka said videos of the incident had been shared on social media platforms and submitted to the police.

“What happened yesterday has been captured in videos that are available on X, Instagram and other social media platforms. We have also shared those videos with the police. These are unedited videos; we don’t have any narrative,” he said.

He claimed that the videos showed the faces of people who assaulted them and said they could be identified and arrested. Ranka added that if there was any evidence supporting allegations against CJP members, it should also be made public.

Ranka further rejected allegations that the organisation was pursuing a political agenda against the BJP, saying its representatives had visited the area because a school had allegedly been functioning in a buffalo shed for the past two-and-a-half years.

“We are not here to ask for votes. We are not doing politics against the BJP,” he said, adding that he had personally visited the school last year and shared a video of its condition.

He said it was unacceptable for children to study in such conditions and insisted that the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign would continue until the schools were repaired.

Addressing Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Ranka asked which school the authorities were trying to protect. Referring to the alleged buffalo-shed school, he said the tin structure could collapse at any time, while buffaloes and fodder remained nearby.

“Were you saving that school? Stop this hooliganism,” he said.
