A seventh class student Ch Harsha Sri (13), studying at Wyra Gurukul was mowed down to death by a truck at Wyra in the district on Wednesday.

Khammam: A seventh class student studying at Wyra Gurukul was mowed down to death by a truck at Wyra in the district on Wednesday.

The incident occurred when the student, Ch Harsha Sri (13) was returning to the school after attending a religious ceremony at her home at Koyachelaka in Raghunathapalem mandal in the district as her father Veera Babu took Ayyappa deeksha.

When the student’s uncle Srikanth was taking her to the school on a motorbike the vehicle accidentally hit the truck and the girl came under the rear tyres of the truck, due to which she died on the spot. The local SI Vamsikrishna Bhagyaraj visited the spot and booked a case in connection with the incident.
