Class seven student bitten by snake at Gurukul school in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: A Class 7 student, Ganesh, was bitten by a snake at the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Gurukul School at Kethepalli in Nalgonda district on Wednesday. He was shifted to the Nakrekal government area hospital. The hospital staff said the boy would be under observation for the next 24 hours.
Ganesh’s parents complained to the school principal about the premises being infested with snakes and scorpions, but their concerns were not addressed with a proper response.
The incident has left parents in a dilemma about sending their children to the school, which is surrounded by wild growth and lacking in basic amenities.
Reportedly, the school does not maintain a first aid services and a health staff were also not available in emergencies.
