Classroom slab collapses, five students injured in Telangana’s Narayankhed

Sangareddy: Five girl students suffered minor injuries on Thursday when a slab of a classroom at a girls’ primary school in Narayankhed town collapsed. The incident occurred as the students were returning to the classroom after lunch break, when the third classroom’s slab suddenly gave way and fell on them.

The injured children were shifted to the government hospital, where doctors said their condition was stable.

What has shocked parents and teachers is that repair work on the same classroom had been carried out just two years ago. They demanded action against the contractor, holding him responsible for the poor quality of work.
