Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Sunday to investigate fresh allegations of land encroachment by the family members of former minister Eatala Rajender at Ravalkole village in Medchal Malkajgiri district. He asked the ACB, Vigilance, Revenue and other departments to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a report to the government.

The Chief Minister was responding to a complaint lodged by Peetla Mahesh Mudiraj, a resident of Ravalkole village in Medchal mandal a couple of days ago. In a letter written to the Chief Minister, Mahesh said Rajender’s son Nithin Reddy had encroached his land of about 10.11 acres using fake documents.

Mahesh said his grandfather Peetla Narsimha owned about 10.11 acres in Ravalkole village which was mentioned in the Khasra Pahani since 1956 and thereafter the Adangal Pahani till 1986. He said the Revenue Department in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh had also issued a 38 (e) certificate naming Narsimha as the protected tenant of the land under the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act 1975-76.

However, the land was illegally transferred to the Pahanis of ‘Satyam’ Ramalinga Raju and others in 1986 by creating fake documents in collusion with the then revenue officials. Later, the land was taken over by Nithin Reddy and another Sada Keshava Reddy who pressured the officials and fraudulently obtained pattadar passbooks for the land in their name. He stated that though he took up the issue with the then Minister Rajender and requested him to return the property, the latter threatened him with dire consequences if he did not give up the land. He urged the Chief Minister to do justice and restore the land to him.
