Siddipet: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced a massive Rs 1,500 crore for development of tourism spots at Annapurna, Ranganayaka Sagar, Mallanna Sagar, Kondapochamma Sagar and Baswapur reservoirs along with Vana Durgamatha temple at Yedupayala. He also instructed the Irrigation officials to construct an irrigation complex of international standards at Mallanna Sagar reservoir in about 100 acres.

After inaugurating the Mallanna Sagar reservoir here on Wednesday, Chandrashekhar Rao asked Finance Minister T Harish Rao and Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud to develop Mallanna Sagar area into an international tourist spot with facilities for destination weddings and film shootings. He wanted the officials to make necessary arrangements including development of medicinal plants in about 7,500 acres of forest land in the close proximity.

Ministers T Harish Rao, V Srinivas Goud, Ch Malla Reddy, MPs J Santosh Kumar, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLCs, MLAs, the Corporations’ Chairpersons, Irrigation Special Chief secretary Rajath Kumar, CMO Secretary Smitha Sabharwal, Siddipet Collector Hanmanth Rao, Engineer-in-Chief Muralidhar Rao, CM OSD Sridhar Deshpande, Irrigation Advisor (Lifts) Penta Reddy, Kaleswaram E-in-C Hariram and others were present.
