Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s sole objective was to ensure hassle-free agricultural process for farmers of the State. He inaugurated a paddy procurement centre at Aluru village in Sarangapur mandal on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran stated that the Chief Minister was striving hard for the welfare of the agrarian community. He said that Rao had introduced a slew of schemes for changing the face of the agriculture sector. He cited Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, procurement of various grains and supply of fertilisers and seeds. He requested the farmers to utilise the facility provided by the government.


The Minister informed that the Nirmal district saw an increase in the cultivation of the paddy crop and said that the crop was being grown in 1.15 lakh acres and 23 lakh quintals of produce was expected in this season. He stated that the cost incurred for purchasing paddy grains was assessed to be Rs 427 crore.
